I grew up in the rural Basel-Landschaft and was enthusiastic about sports like football and climbing from an early age. My love for athletics was discovered when a friend took me to a trial training session at SC Liestal, where I still compete to this day.
In 2009, I attended my first competitions and became the Swiss champion in my age category in 60m sprint and also won the Erdgas Cup (now UBS Kids Cup). The following year, I defended both titles. From then on, I decided to focus on track and field, so I gave up playing football.
Today, I train in Basel, Bern and Magglingen, where I benefit from the optimal infrastructure of outdoor and indoor facilities. In addition to training, competitions and some leisure time with my family and friends, I am completing my degree in Sports Management in Zurich.
